Tomato (Slicer), German Johnson

German Johnson tomatoes are a Mennonite heirloom, commonly grown in VA and NC. For a large, heirloom tomato, they are quite early, productive, uniform, and disease resistant. We grew them for over a decade for our CSA. They were the most productive, dependable, large pink heirloom tomato that we could find. Plants have some resistance to early season leaf diseases and produce buckets of large (12-18 oz.), dark pink uniform heirloom tomatoes with great old-fashioned tomato flavor and few seeds.
