Tomato (Slicer), Mountaineer Pride

Mountaineer Pride tomato was developed by Professor Mannon Gallegy and Professor Mahfuz Rahman at the University of West Virginia in 2017, using West Virginia 63 tomato, which Professor Gallegy bred in 1963. Mountaineer Pride is one of the only open-pollinated varieties available with resistance to Late Blight. It is also resistant to Fusarium Wilt, Septoria Leaf Spot, and Verticillium Wilt. Indeterminate, healthy plants produce large, red, defect-free tomatoes almost unabated for up to 12 weeks. The flavor is outstanding.
