Summer Squash, Yellow Crookneck

A well-known traditional yellow summer squash variety known for its good flavor and firm texture. Large plants are later to produce than more modern varieties but are reliable and productive once they get going. Best picked at under 6” when skin is still smooth, before bumps appear.
In our 2023 SARE funded summer squash trial, this was the only zucchini/yellow squash variety that showed any resistance to Plectosporium Blight and Downy Mildew. We recommend planting from mid-April through the end of May, before turning to more resistant varieties. 45-48 days from DS
