Collection: Los Tuxtlas Collection

About ten years ago, Lalo began stewarding his ancestral seed. His family is originally from the small village of El Sauzal, Hueyapan de Ocampo, Veracruz, Mexico in the Los Tuxtlas region of Mexico. Because of our location, we cannot grow all of Lalo’s family’s heirloom seeds and not all of them do well here, but the varieties that have done particularly well here have become a regular part of our farm. You can find those varieties in this collection! We will return 25% of all sales of these varieties to small farmers and their families in Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. The seeds of these varieties will also come with this note, and we ask that it follow these seeds wherever they are shared, distributed, or sold: This variety has long been stewarded with care by the people of Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz, Mexico. Please honor these seeds. These seeds can be used in any way you choose, but these seeds and their derivatives are not available for private intellectual property rights or ownership. Please include these words with the transfer of these seeds and/or their offspring.”

All of our seeds are Certified organic, non-GMO, regionally-adapted, and open-pollinated.
